Trimontium wins TWO South of Scotland Thistle Awards
Oct 4th 2024 | Frances Mann

Trimontium was delighted to receive, not one but two South of Scotland Thistle Awards at a glittering ceremony in Peebles Hydro on Thursday 3rd October.

The awards, run by the South of Scotland Destination Alliance, mark the pinnacle of achievement in tourism in the region, with winners going through to the National Scottish Thistle Awards Final.

Trimontium won The Inclusive Tourism Award in recognition of its commitment to ensuring our opportunities, heritage and story is accessible to all.

Our Heritage Environment Resources Officer Thania Meneses Flores also won a thoroughly deserved Rising Star Award in recognition of her work in marketing, outreach, collections, inclusion and roman dancing!

This year, we were also finalists in the Thriving Communities Award, but the award went to All Road Lead to Whithorn, a truly remarkable community project and we were really please to see their work lauded. It sounds like a fantastic project.

Huge thanks to the judges for their kind words and congratulations to all the winners last night. Good luck for the Scottish Thistle Awards in November!
