Trimontium wins a National Scottish Thistle Award
Nov 26th 2024 | Frances Mann

Trimontium Museum won the Scottish Thistle Award for Inclusive Tourism at the 2024 National Final, held in Glasgow on 21st November. Competing with top inclusive businesses and attractions from all around Scotland, we were thrilled to win, especially in a category so close to our hearts.

This is what the judges said:

“A strong inclusive ethos was demonstrated by this finalist and the judges commended the detailed outcomes of their activities, such as accessible visitor experiences, an accessible events programme and accessible volunteering work, all of which is delivered by a business run by volunteers.”

Our Heritage Environment Resources Officer Thania Meneses Flores was also a finalist in the Rising Star Category and although the award went to another worthy winner, we know how much of a star she is already!

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists for 2024. Wha’s like us!
