Trimontium Trust’s Latest Discoveries with Prof Stuart Campbell

Professor Campbell is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Manchester and leads Trimontium Trust’s extensive programme of fieldwork across Roman and Iron Age Scotland and northern Britain.

Since his last update, the project has expanded significantly, with surveys and investigations spanning sites from Aberdeenshire to the Lake District. Drawing on the latest advances in LiDAR, geophysical survey, and metal-detecting data, this work is helping to build a richer picture of activity across the Roman frontier landscape.

In this talk, Professor Campbell will provide an update on recent discoveries from a range of fascinating sites, and share hot-off-the-press results from the enigmatic site of Trimontium itself.

A timely update from the field, offering fresh insights into one of Britain’s most compelling frontier regions.
