Trimontium Volunteer Nicole Brown wins an Inspire Award for Exceptional Achievement
Dec 14th 2023 | Frances Mann

The recent Scottish Borders Inspire Awards, held in Ednam House Hotel in Kelso, was a glittering night for Trimontium! Not only did our young volunteers win the Team Effort Award, one of our fantastic young volunteers, Nicole Brown, won the Inspire Award for Exceptional Achievement.

Nicole has been volunteering with Trimontium since 2022. It has been a delight to watch her grown in confidence during her volunteering at the museum and in our archaeological activities. Indeed, she holds the distinction of finding one of our star artefacts whilst field walking at the Fort site- an Iron Age ring.

Nicole has overcome some personal challenges in her life and, since volunteering with us, has gained confidence to seek out other volunteering opportunities in the local area, as well as bringing new young volunteers to Trimontium and helping train them to run the museum.

We are so proud of Nicole and all she has achieved. we can’t wait to see what she does next!
