Join us for our November Trimontium Talk! The Celtic Warrior – A New Appraisal with Professor Melanie Giles.

Melanie grew up in the shadow of the majestic Hambledon Hillfort in Dorset and, from a young age, was fascinated by the idea of being able to explore past lives using the medium of archaeology. She specialises in the Iron Age communities of Britain, their diseases, interpersonal violence, and their mortuary practices. This evening, she will explore our understanding of what has been termed the ‘Celtic Warrior’ culture and share with us, citing recent discoveries, new perspectives on what may have been closer to reality.
