Thania Meneses-Flores: Digital Engagement Intern
Mar 1st 2021 | Rob Longworth
Thania became Trimontium’s first international intern in the Spring of 2020. After having to
postpone her trip from Canada due to the lockdown, she undertook a virtual internship.
In her current role she is in charge of the Trust’s Instagram and Pinterest accounts. She also
contributes to the online Archive and looks forward to further helping in other areas of the
Museum redevelopment.
Thania is an Art Historian (BA, MA) and Medievalist (PhD Candidacy) with a business
background in the art and cultural sector. Her passion for history, archaeology, art and the
important role of museums in our world today led her to pursue a PGC in Museum & Cultural
Management. Graduating with high honours, this program added museum interpretation,
programming, social media, collections care, project management and exhibitions to her skill
set.
With a deep love for Scotland and a keen interest in Classical Antiquity, Celtic and Medieval
Studies, Thania looks forward to realizing her dream of finally being able to travel to Melrose
and to contribute in-person with the exciting developments of the Trimontium Museum.
