Lauren Nowak – Collections & Digital Projects Support Officer

Lauren joined the Trimontium team in 2023. Her archaeology background, including working at Roman sites in the Middle East, equipped her to lead on a variety of collections-centred projects. Lauren works closely with staff and volunteers at the museum to catalogue and digitise its vast collection of objects and is active in outreach with the local community, especially with groups of vulnerable people and people with additional support needs.

One of the projects Lauren is proudest of is her work with Upmo, an Edinburgh-based charity which provides creative and educational opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Alongside Upmo, Lauren is helping to make Roman history and archaeology accessible to everyone.
