Schools & Education
We have an active programme designed to engage the imagination of children of school age.
Through visits by schools to the Museum and on expert guided walks out to the site of the settlement and fort, we endeavour to foster an interest in Roman and native culture in the Scottish Borders and beyond.
Children can try on Roman and native clothing, including armour and experience what it feels like to handle Roman weapons and other elements of Roman life. For more information about our education and outreach programme, to arrange a visit or a school talk, please contact us.
With funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Trimontium Trust has commissioned three films to explore three different theories for the mysterious evacuation of Trimontium. Watch each film and see which one you feel might be the true story.
