To celebrate the Borders Book and Melrose Festivals this June join local guides on our guided Melrose town walk. Starting at The Trimontium on Market Square, enjoy a two hour gentle walking tour through the beautiful Borders town of Melrose. Your guide will tell the story of this famous Abbey town, nestling beneath the iconic Eildon Hills.

Learn about the town’s medieval past, turbulent times, famous residents and visit local landmarks, including the Greenyards – the famous home ground of the Rugby Sevens. No tour of Melrose would be complete without at least one mention of rugby!

Take in stunning views of the beautiful River Tweed and experience the tranquility of this special place.

Meet at 1.15pm for a 1.30pm departure at Trimontium Museum (TD6 9PN) – look for Market Square, Melrose.

We suggest you bring a drink (and maybe a snack), wear footwear suitable for paths, and dress for the Borders weather!

Book to guarantee your space.

Drop-ins are accepted on the day if space is available.
